The Guide

The right backdrop changes everything.

As a wedding planner, one of the most underrated parts of the process is scouting the right shoot location. The right backdrop can completely change the mood, story, and final output of your wedding shoot. Here’s my personal guide to some of the best shoot locations in Lahore.

“The right location doesn’t just frame a couple — it tells their story before a single word is spoken.”

01 — Hidden Gem

Tomb of Dai Anga

A hidden gem that many people still don’t know about. Government-owned, with a nominal rent (~7000 PKR), and a beautiful garden-style setting. I often recommend this when Shalimar Gardens is too crowded.

02 — Grand Classic

Shalimar Gardens

Yes, it’s crowded — but the grandeur makes up for it. There are multiple usable spots if you plan well. I always advise allocating extra time and having coordinators present for crowd control. Best time: before Jumma on Friday.

03 — Indoor & Experimental

Hashim Ali Design Studio

Perfect when you’ve done your outdoor Old Lahore shoot and want something more experimental, indoor, and light-focused. They have great inventory — but I strongly recommend having a creative director on set.

04 — Escape the City

Hiran Minar

About an hour from Lahore, but worth it. Less crowded, serene, and the water body allows for beautiful drone shots. Ideal for couples who want something different.

05 — Marketplace Pick

Location Station

A marketplace for private farmhouses and residences. We recently used their service to scout two locations and both were perfect. Very professional and reliable.

06 — The Icon

Lahore Fort

A classic. Everyone wants a shoot here — especially for that iconic red-brick Old Lahore skyline. It’s crowded, but there are still hidden corners if you explore properly.

07 — My Favourite

Event Venue (Post-Event)

One of my favorites. Once the guests leave, the space becomes yours. With dim lighting and controlled setup, you can use strobes and create a completely different, high-fashion shoot.

08 — Timeless Architecture

Aitchison College

Ideal for alumni — it adds a personal, nostalgic touch. Access is restricted and timing is tight, but the architecture is timeless.

09 — Colonial Elegance

Quaid-e-Azam Library

Elegant, colonial architecture with lush surroundings. Perfect for classic, romantic portraits — especially early morning when it’s quieter.

10 — Unconventional Beauty

Lahore Winters & Smog

Unconventional, but beautiful. The soft haze creates a cinematic effect — especially in open fields during late morning shoots.
